Right now we can create values for the "Family" field, but it's not particularly useful in practice.
I would love to be able to have a "Mail Family" function which I would use to flag pairs of (or even 3+) records which should be bundled in email or postal mail.
So, for example, we have couples who have indicated to us that they want to receive a single postal mail or email rather than being contacted separately. And yet, we can't simply create one constituent record for the couple because they don't always volunteer, donate, or attend events together.
It would be extremely useful if we could click a "Mail Family" box on each of the couple's constituent records so that if both records are part of a mailing group, they are merged into one mailing to both people at a single street address or email.
