What is the difference between an individual and a company record?

An individual record is for a person or a couple and a company is a group or organization. It is important to choose correctly when entering a new constituent because each profile has different fields applicable to that type of constituent. For example, an Individual profile includes fields like First Name, Title, Birthdate, and Gender which are not applicable to a Company profile. In the Company profile, there are fields like EIN, Industry, Number of Employees and Company Industry. The Company profile will also show a list of all employees in the Company Contacts section.
