Email Duplication between a Company and Individual Constituent Record

A Company and an Individual Constituent can share the same default email address without any errors. The software will still display a duplicate email error if it finds two Individual Constituents with the same default email address or two Company Constituents with the same default email address. However, it will not compare emails for Individual Constituent records to Company Constituent records and vice versa. This is helpful when the primary contact for a company shares the same email address as the company as is common with small businesses and sole proprietorships.
