Email marketing is a powerful way for organizations to connect with donors, members, clients, and community audiences. We recognize the importance of delivering your campaigns promptly, which is why we provide the flexibility to send campaigns immediately or schedule them for any desired date and time. However, please note that we cannot guarantee instant delivery to all recipients at the exact scheduled time, as several factors can affect how long it takes for a campaign to be fully processed and delivered. Below are a few of those factors:

1. Recipient List Size: The larger the list of recipients the email campaign is being sent the longer it will take for each recipient to receive their email.

Tip: try breaking your email out into smaller campaigns attached to smaller email lists rather then sending to one big list.

2. Email Campaign Queue: All outgoing customer email campaigns are placed into a sending queue. If a campaign is scheduled during a high-volume period, there may be a delay in the start of delivery depending on its position in the queue.

Tip: Avoid high volume delivery times such as 7am - 10am and 1pm - 3pm.

3. ISP Throttling: Internet Service Providers (ISPs) may slow down how quickly they accept emails from a server to help block spam, which can cause delays in delivery.

While we aim to deliver your emails as quickly as possible, delays can happen because of the many steps involved in the process. Although you set the start time, actual delivery may take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, especially when sending to large audiences or if Internet providers or recipient servers slow down acceptance. Please take this into consideration when sending any time sensitive content via email marketing.
