On an event ticket level, you can limit the number tickets available, the number that can be purchased in a single transaction, and the number of attendees that are included with each level purchase. Navigate to Workspace > Events > Event Pages, Event Setup tab, Levels sub-tab, to enter/edit these fields:
Qty. Avail. - limits the overall total quantity of tickets available for the level. For example, if you only have 100 tickets available, you can enter 100 in this field. Once 100 of that level have been purchased/reserved, the level will be shown as sold out on the event page.
Level Purch. Limit - limits the number (quantity) of tickets allowed to be purchased at one time. This will limit the number that can be entered in the QTY field on the event page. This only places a limit per transaction. A registrant could purchase the limit in one transaction, then refresh the page and make another transaction to the limit again.
# of Attendees Per Purchase - issues one or more tickets (attendees) per quantity selected and, optionally, captures attendee info and custom attendee fields. For a single admission ticket, the number would be "1," meaning one person is admitted with each ticket level purchased. For a sponsorships, it might include admission for up to four people, so the number would be entered as "4," and four attendees would be shown as part of that ticket level.
Also, this field can be set to "0" (Zero Attendee Event Levels) which indicates no tickets are issued or attendees captured; and the ticket Level purchases are not included in Workspace > Events > Event Attendance.
