When you are logged into the software, your view of any event, membership or donation page will be slightly different that the public view. You also have special permissions that the public will not have. Please see some examples below of the various pages and which fields are "Internal View Only." Note that you can process transactions with credit cards, just like the public can, you just need to select "Credit Card" as the payment type.
To view the public version of the pages, you will need to do one of the following:
- Sign out of the software using the link under your user initials.
- Using Google Chrome or Firefox, copy and paste the URL into an Incognito browser window.
- Open a completely different browser, for example if you are using Google, copy and paste the URL into a Microsoft Edge or Firefox browser window where you are not logged into the software.
Event Pages
While logged into the software, if you click on a link to an event page or copy and paste the URL into a new browser tab, the page will open in a new tab and will feature some fields that are only visible internally.
Someone who is NOT logged into the software would see the Golf Event registration page like this:
Someone who is logged into the software and using the same browser will see the page as shown below. If you can see the grey search bar at the top of the page, this indicates your are viewing the internal version of the page. The search bar can be used to look for a constituent in your database. If you select a name from the searched list, it will auto-populate their contact information at the bottom of the page in the registration information area.
Internal users will also be able to see tickets levels that are "Offline Only."
In the registration information area, internal users have permissions that the public does not including:
- No requirement for email when recording an internal registration.
- Selection of a payment type from a dropdown list to be able to record cash, check or other forms of payment. If you would like to process a live credit card transaction, select "Credit Card" to reveal the fields to enter the credit card number in to charge the constituent's credit card.
- Checkboxes to print badges or suppress the thank you email.
Membership Pages
Similar to the description for event pages above, if you click on a link to a membership page or copy and paste the URL into a new browser tab, the page will open in a new tab and will feature some fields that are only visible internally.

Donation Pages

A credit card is required for processing the transaction internally or externally. If you wish to record a donation via a different payment method, you would use the internal gift entry process. See this article for more about entering a donation into the software manually. https://support.donorview.com/en/support/solutions/articles/9000123882-add-gift-vs-donation-via-page
