Within the setup of a Membership Level you can now designate what Type of member, Company or Individual the Primary or Secondary entry fields can accept. On the Membership Setup page when editing a Membership Level click on the “Member Type” section. At the top of that section you will notice two picklist fields called, “Primary’s Membership Type” and “Secondary’s Membership Type”. Please note if you have chosen to modify the “Primary” and/or “Secondary” titles on the previous page these field titles will display the custom values you entered.

 


Under each picklist you can designate what type of member can be input through this membership. Your options are:

 

Individual Only – Only an entry fields for an individual’s information will be displayed and when submitted the software will only search for a match with other existing Individual Constituents or generate a new Individual Constituent record.

Company Only – Only an entry fields for an Companies information will be displayed and when submitted the software will only search for a match with other existing Company Constituent or generate a new Company Constituent record.

Both (Individual Default) – The entry fields will default for the entry of an Individual, however the individual filling out the form can toggle to switch for the entry of a company as the member.

Both (Company Default) – The entry fields will default for the entry of a Company, however the individual filling out the form can toggle to switch for the entry of an Individual as the member.

 

The entry fields for Individuals will include the Standard First Name, Last Name, Email and any other field you may have selected on the previous page under the “Customize Member Data Fields” setting. For Companies the only entry fields displayed will be the Company Name and Company Email.

 

Once you have made a selection for each of the picklists please make sure you then enter in values for the “# Of Primary” and “# Of Secondary” fields so that the Company or Individual entry fields are visible on the online Membership Form. You can then continue the setup of the form setup as normal and publish when ready.
