No. A pledge is set up for payments from one constituent. A contribution from one constituent cannot be applied to another constituent's pledge.


In the case of a pledge that is completed via a check from a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), you have a two options.


1. Delete the pledge (or just the single payment) and enter the contribution in the DAF's constituent record and add a soft credit for the donor.

2. Write off the pledge (or just the single payment) so that the history remains. You can enter information in the Memo or Description field to indicate that the pledge was written off because payment was received via a DAF disbursement. The contribution is then still recorded in the DAF's record and a soft credit applied for the donor.
