How do I know if I have the M2 Device?

To tell if you have the M2 Bluetooth device is that it is white, square and says “Stripe” in the middle of the backside of the device.

Where can I download the DV Connect mobile app?

The DV Connect app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store. Simply launch the Apple Store App and search for “DonorView”. DV Connect should then appear as one of the search results. Click the “Get” button to download or if you see an “Open” button it means you already have the app downloaded on your device.

 

How do I charge the M2?

Depending on when you need to use the device it may need to be charged. If you click the power button and there is no response, then please charge the M2. Along with the M2, you should also have received a USB-C charging cable in the packaging. To plug the cable in make sure tap to pay icon is facing you. In the top right corner, you will see the connection for the smaller side of the USB charging cable. The other larger side of the USB charging cable can be plugged into your laptop or any Standard USB Charging power brick.

 

How do I pair the M2 to my Apple iPad or iPhone?

Unlike other Bluetooth devices this one doesn’t need to be paired within the Settings app of your iPhone or iPad. You can pair it while inside DV Connect app using the Terminal.

 

With the tap to pay icon facing you look to the left side of the device for the power button. A price of the power button should illuminate the 4 green buttons on the front of the device and you will hear a few beeps.

 

On your iPad/iPhone, open the DV Connect app. After logging in if this is your first time using the app you will be asked to select which swiper device you are using. For the M2 device click the M2 option. This will then launch the Terminal dialog allowing you to pair your M2 device.


Click on the Discover Readers button. At this time a notification my pop asking permission for the App to have access to Bluetooth. Click “Allow” on the notification. After allowing the app to use Bluetooth you will see an option to “Enable Auto-Reconnect”. We recommend turning this on so you don’t have to continue to pair this device. Next under the “Nearby Readers” section you should see a list of active devices. The Id listed should make the id listed on the back of the device you are attempting to pair. Click on that device will complete the pairing process. During the pair you may see additional permission notifications about using your location, we recommend allowing this notification. After the pairing is complete you will see the Terminal popup update with the ability to Disconnect the M2 device or reboot it. If you are ready to start using the app, touch anywhere outside of the black popup window and it will close.

 

Will the M2 work with an Android phone or mobile device?

No, there is currently no DV Connect app available for Android, however, is it in the Development Pipeline for a future release.

 

Can I “Tap to Pay” using the M2?

Yes, look for the tap to pay icon. Tapping the credit card against that icon will read the card. The device will beep as soon as the card comes in contact with the device and is read.

 

Can I “Insert the Chip” to pay using the M2?

Yes, with the tap to pay icon facing you look towards the bottom of the device where you will find a slot to insert the credit card chip side facing up. The device will beep as soon as the card's chip has been read. You can then remove the card.

 

Where do I swipe the Credit Card on the M2?

With the tap to pay icon facing you flip the device over, looking for "Stripe" on the back side. You will see under the text and icon showing the swiping of a credit card. There is the slot for swiping the magnetic strip. Again the device will make some beeps when the card has been scanned.
