After submission the  Head of House (HOH) or Owner of a Membership record can now be transferred from one Constituent to another in 2 different places within the software: the main Members Grid or on the Membership tab within a Constituent’s record.

Please Note: Memberships with a recurring payment cannot be transfered as the Pledge Schedule and Credit card tied to the payments can not be moved from one Constituent to another. Also transferring Ownership of a Membership from one Constituent to another will eliminate all connection the original owning Constituent has/had with this Membership Transaction. 

If you wish to transfer ownership of a Membership record on the main Members Grid you will need to select the desired Membership by clicking on that row to highlight it. Once selected, mouse over the “Actions” menu and click on the “Transfer Membership” option. A dialog window will then launch with a Constituent search field. Enter in the last name or company name of the Constituent you wish to transfer the ownership to and select them from the search results. Once the desired Constituent is selected click the green “Transfer” button to complete the transfer. The Membership record will then be updated on the grid with the new Constituent’s information.

If you wish to transfer ownership of a Membership record from the Membership tab within a Constituent record, you can go into the Constituent’s record and navigate to their Membership tab. From the grid, click on the row with the desired Membership to highlighting that row. Next, click the blue “Transfer” button which appears next to the “View/Edit” button at the top left of the grid. A dialog window will then launch with a Constituent search field. Enter in the last name or company name of the Constituent you wish to transfer ownership to and select them from the search results. Once the desired Constituent is selected, click the green “Transfer” button to complete the transfer. The Membership record will be transferred to the new Constituent and no longer appear on the current Constituent’s Membership grid.
