A goal progress widget is a way to display how your fundraising campaign is progressing. The widget will generate html code that you can add to your organization's website to show either a thermometer or donut for your progress.
- Go to the Workspace > Fundraising > Goal Progress page.
- Click on +New, then Goal Progress to create a new widget.
- If you have widgets already created, you can click on View/Edit, then Goal Progress is edit an existing widget.
4. The first tab of the setup is the General Progress Info. Here you are able to give your Goal Progress widget a Name.
5. After that tab comes the Settings. On this tab the fields include:
- Goal Category - Also shown as Fundraising Goal Category on the Gifts grid and gift entry pages. This is a dropdown list of existing Goal Category items. You can create a new one using <View/Edit> or select and existing one. The Goal Category that you select will mean that any transaction entered from any online page or manually recorded recorded will impact the progress on your widget.
- Goal Amount - If you prefer to show the progress based on total amount raised, enter your financial goal.
- Goal Quantity - Counts the number of transactions that are recorded instead of the dollar amount.
- Goal to Use - Dropdown you can select whether the goal should be based on a total Goal Amount or Goal Quantity.
- Start Date - Will only include transactions entered on or after this date.
- End Date - Will not include any transactions made after this date.
- Person Responsible - This field is used with event ticket levels that are assigned to a specific person to attendance and responsibility. If a person is selected here, only tickets levels assigned to that person will be included in the goal progress.
- Include Pledges in Total Raised - When a donation page is also using the same Goal Progress category, marking this toggle YES will include the total amount of the pledge in the progress.
- Include “Pay Later” Ticket Purchases in Total Raised - When an event is also using the same Goal Progress category, marking this toggle YES will include any event purchases that are entered as “pay later” in the progress.
- Include “Pay Later” Auction Add-ons and Current Winning Bid in Total Raised - When an auction is also using the same Goal Progress category, marking this toggle YES will include any auction purchases that are entered as “pay later” or winning bid amounts in the progress.
6. To create the widget, click on +Add Widget. This will open a new window.
7. In the new window you can customize your widget's appearance.
- Name - Assign a name to your widget so that you can distinguish it from others.
- Type - Choose a Donut or Thermometer.
- Title - Add a title to appear on the widget.
- Title Font Size - Choose the size of the title's font.
- Subline Template (Donut Only) - Defaults to show the percentage of goal that has been achieved so far. You can add another sub-title if desired.
- Thickness (Donut Only) - The thickness of the donut.
- Background Color - The background color of the widget.
- Text Color - The color of the text on the widget.
- Goal Color - The color that is assigned to the total goal.
- Progress Color - The color that this showing how much has been raised or recorded so far.
8. You can add additional widgets if desired with the same +Add Widget button.
9. The final tab Preview & Publish will then supply you with the html embed code for each of the widgets you created on the previous step.
