The word "gift" is generally synonymous with a donation in fundraising terminology, whether it is a donation of cash, stock, services, physical materials, or a pledge. 

Within the software, the Gifts grid in the Fundraising Module will also show all transactions, including memberships, pledges, pledge payments, events, and auction purchases. This allows the user to see all the transactions, including donations, in one place for a more complete picture of revenue. Even zero-dollar transactions, such as free event tickets, will be shown on the Gifts grid.

Within the constituent's record, the Gifts tab will show all the transactions for that specific constituent. The list can be filtered using the checkboxes on the top right to include or exclude pledges, memberships, and soft credits as desired.
