# Can I add new Groups from the Assignment Dashboard?

Yes, on the Event Assignments page, just above the Groups Grid there is a button called, "**+ Add Group**". This button will launch a dialog box that allows you to create a new group for that event. You will enter the **Number**, a **Name** and a **Location** (if applicable.) Click **Update** to save the new group to the list.
